Guitar Hero

I think the biggest thing I've gotten out of Guitar Hero is an appreciation for just how hard it is to play guitar. In GH you're playing a massively dumbed-down abstraction of a guitar, being led along by a teleprompter, being judged by a game engine which will tolerate you being way off the beat and give you five stars even if you blow large parts of the song... and it's still damn near impossible on the higher levels.

Fun game, though, for the hour a week that I'm letting myself play it. More than that and my arms complain.

Spam

Over the last 30 days, pobox.com has blocked just over 7000 spam messages sent to my primary email address. Add in the ones that Gmail's filtering caught, and the ones I deleted manually, and we're getting very close to a rate of 100000 spams per year. Wow.

Illogical men's room

The dryer is in the opposite corner from the sink. It is also too low
for me to put my hands under without stooping. What, precisely, are they
expecting me to blow-dry?
