Pimp my head

I really like the hat I wore at last year's WSOP, but unfortunately a) it doesn't fit and b) it's not mine. I would welcome suggestions for a replacement for this year! Something very similar in colors and style to last year would be fine, but I'm also open to new ideas.
Please note that my head measures 25", which can be a difficult size in which to find elegant ladies' hats.

Date: 2008-04-02 11:33 pm (UTC)I bought it at FinoFino in Menlo Park for.. a ridiculous amount of money. The owner of the shop said that it was made by an older lady in Canada... Mrs. J Somethingorother. Mr. Somethingorother had died many years before, but she still referred to herself as Mrs. J... they didn't even know her first name.
Anyway, each hat that she made was unique. She named them all, and apparently she wrote letters about them like they were her children. She sounded loopy, in a very sweet sort of way.

Shrink your head, expand the universe, but don't
even think about THE HAT replacement.

Date: 2008-04-03 07:56 am (UTC)My head is about 23.5", and I have room to easily put four fingers inside the brim without her being too tight. Unfortunately, she's the one hat I absolutely wouldn't give up.
However, that style of hat would probably work for you-- a wide-brimmed cloth hat. Hell, I could probably whip one up for you in about a day.
